MediRide Incorporated has added a new service to its list of medical transportation options. The "Wheelchair
Coach" is MediRide's handicap accessible van. MediRide's Wheelchair Coach is the most appropriate means of
transportation when the patient is able to sit but needs some assistance and would be uncomfortable or unable to
ride in our AssistCAR passenger vehicles. The Wheelchair Coach attendants are first aid trained, but are unable to
monitor your medical condition. The vehicle is equipped with a cellular telephone for immediate emergency contact
if needed. The Wheelchair Coach is equipped with a smooth operating lift for ease and convenience of the patient
being transported. The Wheelchair coach also provides comfortable seating for an accompanying family member,
friend, or Health Assistant.
The Wheelchair Coach is available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 PM. Early morning, late evening, and
weekend transports are also available at a special rate. After hours wheelchair coach transports are subject to
approval by MediRide's dispatch supervisor. MediRide, Inc. accepts Visa and Mastercard for your convenience.
