MediRide EMS Participates at Historic Ordination
(Marquette, MI) - When officials from the Catholic Diocese of Marquette asked MediRide EMS to
provide EMS standby coverage at the diocese's first ordination of a Bishop in over 100 years, the
Board of Directors quickly accepted.
MediRide's President & CEO David Guizzetti immediately notified officials with the diocese that the
company would gladly donate their services as a show of support to the newly ordained Bishop. "As
someone who has grown up in the church, I was so honored we were asked to participate in this
historic event and I couldn't imagine charging the diocese for requesting our presence," said
Guizzetti.
MediRide EMS provided two ambulances and four EMS crew to cover the crowd of attendees which
included Cardinals from Rome, Detroit, and Toronto, a host of Bishops, priests, and lay persons.
The ceremony lasted nearly four hours. "Fortunately, our services were not needed. I was especially
pleased to just be in attendance," Guizzetti said at the conclusion of the event.

types in the State of Michigan.
