(Marquette, MI) - After an investigation into the
announcement made in a letter to MediRide, Inc. EMS by
Marquette General Hospital Administration, MediRide, Inc.
EMS would like to set the record straight.
The letter, from MGHS CEO William Nemacheck stated that
MGHS has directed their employee health insurer, Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) to no longer pay
any claims submitted on behalf of its employees who

Marquette General Hospital Administration, MediRide, Inc.
EMS would like to set the record straight.
The letter, from MGHS CEO William Nemacheck stated that
MGHS has directed their employee health insurer, Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) to no longer pay
any claims submitted on behalf of its employees who
choose to utilize independent health care providers. MediRide, Inc. EMS along with many other local
independent providers were named on a list that was circulated to MGHS employees. After careful
investigation into the claims made by MGHS, MediRide, Inc. has discovered that all MGHS employees
who wish to utilize the services of MediRide, Inc. EMS or any of the other health care providers on the
list will be covered by their employee insurance program.
MediRide, Inc. EMS is a participating Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan provider. We spoke with a
representative of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and we were told that all claims submitted by
MediRide, Inc. EMS or any other participating BCBSM provider on behalf of MGHS employees "will
continue to be processed and all covered services will be paid," regardless of statements made by
MGHS. MediRide, Inc. EMS will also continue to offer employees of MGHS services with no
copayments or deductibles. We encourage all MGHS employees to phone BCBSM at (906) 228-9112
to confirm our findings.

providing accurate and truthful information to the public is the best way for people, just like us, to
make informed decisions on important issues. It's just another way MediRide is "Treating You Like
